A CHILD-ORIENTED AND INCLUSIVE DAYCARE FOR ALL CHILDREN TO LEARN AND PLAY.

FROM OUR FAMILIES

Daycare Center

NADIA W.

I was first introduced to Village Daycare by a friend who is a childcare licensing officer and sent her children there. We have been a part of the Village Daycare family for the past six years and from the very first day, Wanda and her team have been absolutely amazing to our family. Our kids have learnt so much, made many friends and received so much love from the Village Daycare staff. The centre is bright and clean and I love how many walks they do in the community.

Village Daycare was a second home for our daughter. The staff always went above and beyond to create a space that was warm and inviting. Their programming was always highly engaging and creative. What makes them truly special is how they recognize and celebrate each child's unique gifts and needs. We truly believe Village Daycare played a pivotal role in setting our daughter up for success as she transitioned into Kindergarten.

My child attended Village Daycare from age three to five years old. All of the staff were wonderful, caring and super creative. During drop-off my son would always walk ahead of me, open the gate (to the amazing outdoor play space) and stroll right into the cubby area all by himself. He learned so much in his two years with Village Daycare and blossomed into a very confident, creative and outdoor-loving child. A bonus is he is still good friends with a few children he befriended when he was at Village Daycare!

Burnaby Now A List.PNG

Yes, the Burnaby Now may be online and digital only, but we still want to share (and flaunt) what our region has to offer.

So, here it is, our 2023 A-List.

We've got results as voted by you - our loyal readers in Burnaby.

Exemplified are the favourites in our communities and "outreach" seems to be a common theme among the winners.

Some businesses that have called one community home have expanded to others thanks to the loyalty and demand of local residents.

Others go above and beyond to ensure customers are treated as people, not dollar signs.

And then, there are the individuals that dedicate themselves to making the community a better place; going to events, sponsoring fundraisers or local sports teams and even raising a voice for those in need of support.

The owners are proud to serve our growing region and are eager to show off their accomplishments by providing quality products and excellent customer service.

So please use this as a guide when you go out to shop, and share with loved ones about the stores you like best.

We love watching our local economy prosper. It's needed now more than ever!
